The event drew in around 600-700 young high school students, primarily from Turkish high schools. According to Mrs. Sanderlin, guidance counselor at IGA, "The experience was profitable because it encouraged our high school students to think about going to university." She went on to talk about the isolation many of the students of IGA can tend to feel, due to the uniqueness of the international private school in Istanbul. Deirdre Van Sloten, also of IGA, described the fair as "a really neat experience to see possibilities for the future and enjoy the extravagant atmosphere of the Hilton." So it must have been, for the Hilton Hotel is one of the most highly regarded hotels in all of Istanbul, thus its role as host to the fair. However, for all its beauty, the Hilton was only able to convince two thirds of attending students that it was a worthwhile event to spend the evening at, according to polls taken of the IGA students. As summed up by Sarabeth Flowers, "Hopefully this fair was used not only to supply us with many colorful pens, but to let us get just a glimpse of what could be."
